Sardegna: Plotting an Adventure

Ciao from Sardegna (Sardinia) where we are having a van-life long weekend adventure. With only 5 days here we decided to leave the bikes at home and figure that we will rent if we decide we want to take a spin.

Driving around in the van is great. One advantage I didn’t anticipate is that I am sitting up high and have a way better view of the terrain. As we drive around, I feel a deep desire to plan a trip here with the bike. I imagine returning at this time of year. The days are 65-75* and the sun is strong but not too strong. I imagine riding from beach to town to beach to mountain town with stops at caffès, restaurants, local producers and agriturismi. I even look out at some of the valleys and imagine that mountain bike riding would be tame enough that I could manage it here on farm roads. Maybe a return in October or November? Research ahead!
